Chihuahua Tinkerbell featured in news articles across the world in a tearful re-union with her owner Paris Hilton who was released from jail earlier this week. - Celebrity Hilton hotel heiress Paris Hilton was jailed after being found guilty of violating her probation for a drink-driving conviction. She endured a three week stay, leaving Tinkerbel in the care of her staff in Paris’ luxury mansion. - Although the press reported Paris’ tears, Tinkerbell must have endured some stress and anxiety during Paris’ period away from home. - Claire, a veterinary nurse from London, told My Pet Friends that “Pets often notice when their owners are away for a length of time. They can sense that something is not right and this can often lead to stress. For some pets this is expressed in excessive scratching, anxious breathing or pulling out of fur. “ When asked about the treatment Tinkerbell received when Paris was locked away, she said that “pets don’t care about how much is pent on them, if you show love and care to a pet they can sense it.” - If Tinkerbell could read, she may have become unduly anxious about Paris’ absence. In 2005, Paris was forced to give up a kinkajou named Baby Luv, that she picked up on a visit to Florida, after the California Department for Fish and Game declared it an illegal pet (although there are rumours that the forcible removal never occurred because a Kinkajou is not classed as a monkey). - Add as favourites (0) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 421
