Widely reported as the ‘prestige’ dog of choice, Staffordshire Bull Terriers are now the most unwanted breed of dog in England and Wales according to a recent report by the RSPCA.
-
Owners are said to be frightened by recent reports that these dogs are aggressive and because of the status symbol ownership if these dogs gives certain groups of people. As part of the charity’s pet adoption week, it is encouraging people to adopt Staffordshire Bull Terriers as well as other popular unwanted dogs – topping the list include German Shepherds, Rottweiler and Jack Russell Terriers.

(My Pet Friends supports initiatives to re-home unwanted pets and would always urge its readers to consider adopting a rescued pet or a pet that needs re-homing when considering a new pet.)
