 Edinburgh University recently carried out research which suggests that around 80% of rabbits are not fed enough hay and grass and, as a result their teeth grow too long. This is shocking research that every rabbit owner up and down the UK will want to take heed of. When left untreated, a bunny’s teeth can grow backwards causing many problems and discomfort. Dental decay also causes other intestinal problems, and owners often take their rabbits to the vet when it’s too late.- As part of Burgess National Rabbit Week 2008, the University of Edinburgh is offering free bunny health clinics that are being run at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies next week.
