According to recent statistics from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home we may consider ourselves to be a nation of animal lovers but we are failing our pets. - In the London borough of Newham alone, 128 lost or abandoned dogs were brought into the Battersea Dogs & Cats home last year – the UK's best known shelter. While in Tower Hamlets, records show that 119 lost or abandoned dogs were brought in. - The findings have led to Battersea launching a campaign encouraging dog owners in London boroughs to tag and microchip their pets. - Research suggests that an ID tag or microchip is the best way to increase the chances of finding your pet. Tagging is offered at pet grooming parlours, veterinary centres and pet shops across the UK. Be a responsible pet owner and ensure that your cat or dog is tagged. - Add as favourites (0) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 892
