Well, the bank holiday that we enjoyed earlier this month wasn’t repeated yesterday - surprise surprise, this time it was raining cats and dogs. One of the only days off our owners get and the weather was so bad that they couldn’t even take us out for the day. But the day wasn’t wasted; we managed to do loads of fun stuff inside. - Firstly we played find the chew – this is where they take me out of the living room, then hide a few chews behind the settee or under pillows before they then let me back in to search for them. Kitty is far too refined to even entertain the idea and sits there giving me a look of pity like I’m lowering myself – probably because she knows that if she doesn’t move they will give her treats to her anyway. - After the ‘find the treat’ game I pestered them to tickle my tummy – oh how I rolled about on the floor. It was nice, but I was exhausted after that so I had to have a nap. After a short rest, we played fetch the bear – this is where they throw a furry teddy bear towards the other end of the room and I have to collect it. That’s my favourite game, but again, Kitty looks on with that look on her face. - My owners were tired after all the fun so I let them have a rest and watch some TV. They have that Sky+ system - and are addicted to it, I bet they couldn't live without it now. In fact, we love it too, we're quickly becoming SKY+ pets. - Whilst they were chilling out, I had a quick flick through a toy and gift catalogue for pets. The gift section for dogs was huge – loads to choose from. It made me think that one day we should do a poll for the best toy as voted by our readers. Mine is a simple ball, but it would be interesting to hear what other My Pet Friends users consider their favourite toy is. - Whatever toy is your pets favourite, always use a suitable toy when playing with your pet. Toys designed for human children may have loose buttons and contain plastic eyes; if you’re using a stick found in the park make sure it’s splinter free or you’ll be spending a few hours down at the vets if one of them gets in your pets gums. - For details of pet gifts and toys check out our directory of online pet shops. - ![]() Add as favourites (0) | Quote this article on your site | Views: 160
