 The media circus has left town and now Scania, the beloved pet dog of Shannon Matthews who has dominated the national press for initially being missing and now for the reasons surrounding this, has been re-homed.

Shannon's mother and step dad have been remanded in custody over recent events, and as a result, Scania has been given a new home.

Scania was named after a Netto supermarket advert which uses the slogan "Scandanavian for Value."
