dog_kennels.jpgThe number of abandoned pets in England and Wales has gone up by 57% according to the RSPCA.  This is a substantial increase that is causing pet rescue centres and pet carers increasing concern over how to address the problem and how to care and re-home unwanted pets.
-

As pet owners suffer in the current credit crunch, many are unable to afford to care for their pets, and the animal welfare Society is saying that it is struggling to cope.  It also fears that a fall in income from donations and legacies could not rule out potential job cuts in the near future.
-

During the last year the RSPCA noted that more than 30 animals a day were being abandoned across England and Wales.

The RSPCA are increasing their call for donations to assist them with their work, full details can be obtained from their website.
