The British Horse Society will be hosting its biennial Safety Conference on Saturday 3 October at Highgate House, Creaton, Northamptonshire, NN6 8NN, and if you are a British Horse Society member, entry will be free. -
The conference is due to run from 10:00 am to 4.00 pm, with lunch and refreshments provided. -
This year will see a great line up of speakers, including Mr Roy Burek, Managing Director of Charles Owen & Co Ltd, and Professor Michael Gilchrist BE, MEngSc, PhD, DEng from University College Dublin, who will address current research into development of riding hats; Air Ambulance Paramedic Mr Anthony Bleetman FRCS; Police Captain Andy Mortimer from North Midlands Helicopter Support Unit; Wing Commander Jon Taylor, Director of Air Staff at the Ministry of Defence who will all address issues surrounding helicopters and Riding Safely journalist Mr Ken Law will be speaking on equestrian accidents statistics. -
