OK, its only April and we have been reminded that this time a few years ago, many parts of the UK had only just come out of a cold spell that left us snow covered, but the temperature is increasing so remember to look out for your pets.
-
The usual advice applies and many now know this, but just by way of reminder ensure your pet is indoors in a cool/shady place during the hottest part of the day – usually 11-3; has access to plenty of fresh water and is not left in a hot car, van or a conservatory.
-
As the temperatures rise, we also like to go for extra long walks and stay out and about in the sun for longer periods. This additional exercise and exposure to sun and heat can prove fatal for your dog – so even if you feel fine, remember to think about your dog and his/her needs.
