Following the outstanding success of last year’s exotic animals workshop, Mark Amey will be leading another six-hour, practical hands-on session on Thursday 4 March 2010, 10am-4pm. Mark, a qualified zoologist, has retailed in exotic animals for over a decade and has made numerous television appearances with his animals – his reptiles have even featured in the Harry Potter films.
-
The workshop is suitable for anyone working in retail who wishes to extend their knowledge in this specialist area – as well as serious hobbyists. Mark will bring a selection of animals from his Hertfordshire-based business, Ameyzoo, and will demonstrate and discuss safe handling techniques and husbandry.
-
For those with a level-3 qualification (including the pet store management certificate), continuous professional development points can be gained by attending. All attendees will receive handouts, lunch, refreshments and a certificate of attendance.
-
Members pay just £45 (non-members pay £65) to attend this workshop. Alternatively, if more than one staff member is attending from the same company, you can benefit from our group booking discount of £40 per person. Your fee includes handouts, certificates, lunch and refreshments.
-
The workshop will be held at the Pet Care Trust office, Bedford Business Centre, 170 Mile Road, Bedford MK42 9TW. To book your place, complete and send the booking form (available to download here) and a cheque, or call us on 01234 273933 with your credit card details.
