The British Horse Society and the British Equestrian Federation are pleased to announce Barrow Farm Riding and Carriage Driving for the Disabled as the latest riding school to achieve Clubmark accreditation.
-
Lizzie Parsons, UK coaching certificate co-ordinator for the RDA, said: “We are delighted to congratulate Barrow Farm on achieving their Clubmark accreditation. It is a tremendous achievement and their portfolio demonstrates the commitment and dedication of all members of their Group.”
-
Anne Mitchell of Barrow Farm said: “At Barrow Farm we are very proud to be the first specific RDA approved centre to achieve Clubmark accreditation. As a RDA riding school the safety and welfare of our riders has always been our number one priority and Clubmark will give all clients here the added assurance that we are maintaining the best possible coaching and safety practices.
-
“Working through the portfolio has been a very interesting and beneficial exercise, highlighting how much good work is already in place within the RDA. It has made us review the way we keep our records, carry out risk assessments and so on, which I feel has resulted in a far more structured method of all the essential record keeping and I would recommend it to all groups.”
