cat clawing.jpgA more than unusual British wet summer has caused ideal breeding conditions for snail and slug populations - and for the dangerous parasite that they carry with them.
-

Lungworm carried by snails and slugs can infect the bloodstream.  If eaten by dogs and cats.  This can cause coughing and breeding problems and in some cases can kill.
-

Previously confined only to Wales and the southwest, which provide ideal conditions for slugs and snails, the increase in long worm infection has increased to many other areas of the UK.
-

Lungworm cannot infect humans, although other types of work can.  The risk to pets can be reduced by regular worming using an effective worming product
