cat grass.jpgCats Protection’s Wrexham and District Branch Adoption Centre is hoping to raise vital funds through a ‘Lock-in Challenge’ in April.
-

Two staff at the centre – Kelly Eyre and Lynn Flemming - will be spending 24 hours living in a cat pen to raise funds for the centre, which looks after unwanted cats and finds them new homes.
-

The centre’s manager, Carol Williams, said “We are always looking for new ways to raise funds and Kelly and Lynn decided they were up for a challenge!  They have volunteered to live in one of our cat adoption pens for 24 hours and they will be dressed up as cats.  The sponsored lock-in begins at 5pm on Wednesday 6 April and finishes at 5pm on Thursday 7 April.”
-

“Last year the centre found homes for 371 cats and kittens and provided help and advice for many cat owners.  This is only possible through our fundraising initiatives and the generosity of cat lovers making donations to the centre, so all support will be very much appreciated.  £750 has been raised so far and we’d like to say thank you to everyone who has sponsored Kelly and Lynn.  We’d also appreciate more donations to help us top the £1,000 mark!”
-
Visitors are welcome to visit the adoption centre on Thursday 7 April between 11am and 3pm to see how Kelly and Lynn are getting on and to show their support.  If you would like to sponsor Kelly and Lynn, you can do so online at
www.justgiving.com/cpwrexham or contact the centre for a sponsorship form.

Cats Protection’s Wrexham Branch Adoption Centre is part of a national network of 256 volunteer-run branches and 30 Adoption Centres that together help over 215,000 unwanted cats each year.  The charity’s vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs.
